Pancreatic Cancer Action Almost 10,000 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the UK every year. Most will die within six months of diagnosis and just five per cent will survive for more than five years.
Founded by pancreatic cancer survivor, Ali Stunt, Pancreatic Cancer Action is focussed on improving early diagnosis so that more people survive the disease. The charity’s work includes funding research into early diagnosis, providing medical education, launching awareness campaigns and campaigning the government to increase research funding.
Pancreatic Cancer Action’s ultimate goal is to ensure that more patients are diagnosed at early stage so that they have the best chance of survival.
