About Cystic Fibrosis Care
Cystic Fibrosis Care is a small charity based in Yorkshire. CF Care was established to address the urgent need for additional support for Cystic Fibrosis patients and their families, many of whom face significant hardship due to the condition. As parents of children with CF, the founders understood first-hand the challenges that come with managing this lifelong illness.
CF Care support people with CF who are in the most need through difficult circumstances in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Typically, a grant recipient will be on benefits or in a low paid job. CF Care only accept applications from referrals through specialist CF teams and social workers so that we are confident our funds are reaching those in the most need.
Currently CF Care fund grants to individuals and families for food vouchers, energy, hospital travel, counselling, and welfare grants where we purchase white goods etc. to help families in need.
CF Care also fund improvements to hospital CF units, activity packs for people who are in hospital, and provide vital medical equipment that the NHS are unable to supply. CF Care also give grants to train specialist CF nurses.
