An appreciative method for raising money for charity
We’ve been involved in fundraising for a while so are aware of how people feel about it.
When you ask a loved one, friend or colleague to back you on a fundraising platform, and they agree and dig into their pocket and contribute £20 for example. Having their name or ‘anonymous’ appear on a page isn’t thanks enough.
Because the fundraiser gets the glory. But the donors have worked hard for their money, contributed to your page, and get very little back. We’re flipping that on its head and making the contributors the heroes too. Because without them there is no result.
With Thankful, everyone gets recognised. Sometimes it’s the smaller things in life that make us feel appreciated, right?

A new type of fundraising page
Thankful Fundraising allows people to create a fundraising page to raise money for a charity. For example, they might run a race and ask friends and family to donate to their favourite charity for doing so.
Every time someone donates to a page, the fundraiser is given free e-card volumes that they can send to say Thank You for donating and for backing them.
Go to 'Your Fundraisers' in your account
From the Your Fundraisers tab, create a new fundraiser. From there you can create your page. You can go back and edit it after you create it. It's free simply create an account to get started.
Individuals, Charities, and Companies
Individuals and companies can create a fundraiser supporting one of our listed charities.
And if you're one of our listed charity partners you can create a fundraiser supporting yourself.
In all cases the creator of the fundraising page receives the free e-card volumes.
Individual example = Running a race supporting NSPCC, the individual uses the e-cards to thank backers.
Charity example = General giving page, or a specific fundraiser e.g. "Help the animals in our shelter", the charity then uses the e-cards to thank donors and can also use the e-card volumes for other uses.
Company example = Corporate fundraiser for a charity or their charity of the year, the company then uses the e-cards to thank all employees that took part and everyone who donated.
Go to 'Your Orders' in your account
Every time someone donates to your Thankful page your e-card volume is topped up. To send the e-cards go to Your Orders to access the e-card order.

No time limit, with the option to set a close date
There’s no time limit, you can simply fundraise using your page for as long as you like. We provide the option for you to set your fundraiser to have a close date.

You can raise as little or (hopefully) as much as possible, however the page isn't restricted to reaching a target. If you have a target you can include this in your page title or description.
To share your page
View the page and copy the URL and send this to who you'd like to back you. You can also use the social share buttons that appear on your page.

All charities registered on to DontSendMeACard can create a fundraiser from the charity dashboard. For every £1 donated your charity will be gifted a volume of x1 e-card to utilise. You can then use these to thank donors, partners, colleagues and more!
The best part? We don't charge charities a monthly fee to be listed with us.

Each of our listed charity partners has registered their payment details. We send the total amount donated after transaction fees directly, and instantly, to your charity.

We don’t take any percentage out of the amount donated. Nor do we force you to pay a fee on top of the donation for using our service. You are offered the option to leave us a tip when checking out, which is entirely optional.

We absolutely do not charge charities a monthly fee to be listed to receive donations. We are against the idea that charities should be charged high fees like this, and our platform has always been free for charities to join.
Choosing a fundraising system
There's lots out there. We're unique, and may well be for you mainly if you like the idea of sending personalised e-cards to all of those that support your effort. Our model aims to make your supporters feel like it's been a win for them too, and not just another 'ask'. Bringing you closer together as a result.
And secondly if you feel that the larger platforms who charge a high monthly fee shouldn't be raking it in at the cost to the charity, then we might be for you too. Choosing a smaller more bespoke platform that doesn't believe in charging such fees – such as ours – hopefully aligns with what you are looking for.
After you create a basic account with DontSendMeACard:
• Sign in to your account
• Go to the 'Your Fundraisers' tab from the dashboard
When you fundraising for a charity online with a Thankful page, you can then say thank you and send other eCards to all of those that supported your individual fundraising campaign.

We don't charge the charity or the contributor any fees either, just the option to leave us a tip.
