About Great Aycliffe Cancer Support group
We are Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group; the group is for anyone that is or has been affected by Cancer around County Durham & Darlington as well as other places around the North East. We have always raised our own funds to cover costs for all the services we provide, we are 100% Voluntary, so every penny goes to the patients. The services we provide are reduced during Covid-19, however we still provide the following free: -
• Food Hampers
• Free Patient Transport to get the patient to hospital for their life saving treatment.
• Free Respite Breaks in our Holiday Home
• Financial help and Support
• We make Chemo Bags and fill them full of goodies
Our Patient Transport has increased by 150% because cancer nurse specialists are asking us to help bring patients into hospital for Life
Saving Treatment due to less Ambulances running.
