About Health Improvement Project Zanzibar
Health Improvement Project Zanzibar (HIPZ) supports the healthcare provision of 300,000 people in Zanzibar. We are responsible for two rural hospitals in Kivunge and Makunduchi and healthcare provision in the local communities. We have been working since 2007 to improve infrastructure, resources, and skills to ensure high quality healthcare on the island. Our priorities are maternal and neonatal healthcare, paediatrics, and non-communicable diseases.
