About Isle Of Mull RDA
Isle of Mull RDA is a registered charity, (SCO45772), part of the wider RDA organisation. Every penny we raise goes back to supporting our local community.
We were founded in 2015, and welcome riders from across the islands of Mull, Iona and the surrounding small islands, and from Ardnamurchan and Morvern. We meet on Friday mornings at Mull Pony Trekking, Killiechronan.
Interacting with the ponies has many proven medical benefits, and RDA sessions can also help reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support, and boost your mood. We aim to promote mental and physical wellbeing through riding or just meeting the ponies.
Our clients include people with physical and learning disabilities and autism, and we also work with our local Carers’ Centre. We may be able to offer sessions to visitors to Mull who have previous RDA experience. Our participants range in age from 4 to 60+.
Prefer not to ride? We are introducing Tea with a Pony and Peaceful Pony sessions to allow people with long-term life-changing conditions, such as dementia, to spend time with a pony.
We are a small, friendly group, and will personalise our activities to meet your needs.
