About Moor Trees
Moor Trees is helping to restore native woodland on Dartmoor and the surrounding areas to create valuable new habitats and expand existing woodland to respond to the climate emergency and boost nature in the local environment.
We grow local provenance trees in our community tree nurseries with the help of our amazing volunteers. Seeds are collected locally in the autumn and then processed and cared for up to two to three years before being ready to plant out over winter. We currently grow over 90,000 trees each year in our nurseries with up to 30 different species available.
