Pratham UK Pratham focuses on high-quality, low-cost, and replicable interventions to address gaps in the Indian education system. Although founded in Mumbai, our focus has increasingly been on education in rural areas and smaller towns and cities where fewer NGOs operate and where the need is greatest. Our programmes span 21 of India's 29 states and range from preschool to vocational training. We have developed a programme that can make children literate in 30 days for £14 that has been rigorously developed and assessed in partnership with the 2019 Nobel Laureates for Economics Esther Duflo & Abhijit Banerjee.
