About Sparkle Sheffield
As a charity, Sparkle Sheffield supports Autistic children, young people and their families in a practical way. Events take place weekly to ensure that children and their families can take part in extra-curricular activities without fear of judgement and/or affecting their confidence or self-esteem. These events enable children and young people to feel part of a group, a community in which they feel comfortable and empowered, and to be their true, authentic self.
Our organisation was developed and is run by Autistic people and parents/carers of Autistic children and young people as well as those with and co-conditions.
It exists to raise awareness of Autism and to support Autistic children and young people and their families.
We aim to empower and include children and young people in all areas of societal life and to provide services that aim to break down their exclusion and isolation too, whilst helping them to be safe and learn and develop in innovative, creative and fun ways.
We aim to provide high quality services including support delivered by experts in the field.
