ABC to read (Assisting Berkshire Children) Our mission is to recruit, train and support community volunteers to provide 1:1 mentoring of primary school children (ages 5 to 11), throughout Berkshire, who are struggling with their reading. Every year the hundreds of pupils we work with, ‘discover’ the pleasure of reading, helping them to gain a crucial skill for life, both at school and beyond
