Families Outside Families Outside is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to supporting children and loved ones impacted by imprisonment—a hidden population often overlooked by society. Around 27,000 children each year experience the emotional, financial, and social challenges that come with a family member in prison, leaving them isolated and stigmatised. Our work provides vital support to stabilise lives, amplify voices, and push for systemic change, ensuring that no one navigating the ripple effects of imprisonment is left unseen or unsupported.
