Herts Young Homeless Herts Young Homeless (hyh) works with vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so, providing vital support and helping them get their lives back on track.
Our focus is on preventing homelessness – from education in schools and mediation for families in crisis, through to providing emergency accommodation for a young person in a volunteer’s home or supporting adults who have mental health needs and housing issues.
hyh’s services empower young people to be able to deal with the difficult situations in their lives, give them the ability and confidence to ‘do it themselves’ and ultimately find stability.
