Little Sisters of the Poor The Little Sisters of the Poor are a Roman Catholic order of nuns founded in France in 1839, with a Mission to care for the elderly poor in a spirit of humble service.
We are committed to supporting the needs of vulnerable older people of modest means by providing a caring home with safe accommodation, respite provision and palliative end of life care.
Although the culture of the charity is Catholic, admission to our care homes is open to low-income elderly of at least 65 years of age, regardless of race, gender, nationality or religion.
