About remap
Remap is a charity that helps disabled people of all ages to live more independent lives by designing and making customised equipment free of charge. Our vision is that every person living with a disability in the UK can achieve the level of independence they wish for. When we design and custom-make equipment for an individual, we understand that everyone’s needs are different and commercial solutions do not always suit or do not exist at all. Our service is entirely delivered by our network of 900 volunteers, mostly skilled engineers and craftsmen supported by a small central office.
