Welcome to Stagetext, we are a National UK Charity that supports the 11 million of us in the UK who are d/Deaf and hard of hearing and enjoy going to the theatre. By using captions (a little like subtitles on TV) we are able to provide an equal theatrical experience to that of a hearing person. We add information such as characters names, sound effects, accents, and off stage noises, which set our captions apart from subtitles you may see elsewhere. Our captions are usually displayed by the side of the stage allowing a truly inclusive experience ensuring that audience members can hear every word.
