Charity fundraising platform DontSendMeACard.com has launched a new giving system for those looking to raise money for charities online – Thankful Fundraising.
Every time someone donates to a Thankful page, free volumes of e-card credits are assigned to the fundraiser. These e-cards can then be sent to those that have donated to the page to say thank you and show real gratitude for people’s contributions.
A set of pre-designed e-cards are available to send such as Thank You, We Did It, and I Love You. The charity can add to the artwork available to send with their own designs which they can upload via the charity dashboard.
There are also a host of features available within the e-card system, such as the ability to upload an image to be included in the e-card. Resulting in the means to send one or multiple tailored and sincere messages of thanks, updates, and appreciation to those that have donated.
DontSendMeACard.com are an established platform within the charity sector and the decision to develop Thankful comes after over seven years of working with charities fundraising with e-cards via their bespoke platform.
Founder Alex Furness says, "We’ve been involved in fundraising for a while so are aware of how people feel about it. When a loved one, friend or colleague asks you to back them on a fundraising platform, and you agree and do so and dig into your pocket and contribute £20 for example...having your name, or ‘anonymous’ appear in a list on a page isn’t thanks enough. Because the fundraiser gets the glory. But you’ve worked hard for your money, contributed to their page, and get very little back. We’re flipping that on its head and making the contributors the heroes too. Because without them there is no result."
A Thankful page can be in support of any of the listed charities that are on DontSendMeACard, and donations go directly and instantly to the chosen charity.
There are no fees for charities to register and become listed as the recipient of funds. Contributors to fundraisers can leave DontSendMeACard an optional tip when checking out.
Alex adds "The beauty if this is that it is thankful two-fold i. Donors being appreciated for their contributions and ii. Showing charities some support.
Why are charities being charged fees to be listed on platforms? Our platform has always been free for charities to become listed, with no monthly fee. Why charities are still being charged to be listed on fundraising platforms that make millions per year out of them is beyond me. It's wrong.
The landscape has changed with the events of recent times, and charities need our full support right now not more overhead.
Giving really is about how we feel, and we that felt it was the right time to bring this positive model forward. Thankful provides a warm way to raise money for a cause with zero cost to the charity. This is all via a trusted and more bespoke platform that invests funds back into creating new innovations such as Thankful."
Individuals, charities, and companies can all make use of the Thankful system. To find out more about Thankful Fundraising and to create a fundraiser go to: www.dontsendmeacard.com/fundraising.html
